Fibertex Rock-wool 450 is a robust, medium-duty insulation solution engineered for demanding industrial environments. Manufactured by spinning a molten mixture of natural rock and recycled materials into fine fibers, these boards are bonded with a thermosetting resin to provide superior structural integrity and a high density of 80kg/m³.
Features and Benefits
- Lightweight highly durable insulation product
- Forms shape of equipment to be insulated
- Cost effective thermal insulation
- Performance is not adversely effected from contact with water
- Non combustible
- Biosoluble safe to use product
- Made from up to 40% recycled material.
Applications
Fibertex 450 is designed for use in applications that do not exceed 450°C operating temperatures. It is ideal for use with plant and equipment in process temperature control, energy conservation, condensation prevention, acoustic absorption treatment and staff protection. Methods usually include:
- boilers
- heat exchangers
- reactors
- ovens
- kilns
- autoclaves
- large diameter piping.
Fibertex 450 boards can be attached to weld pins and secured with speed clips. For best results, the unfaced surface of the rock-wool board should be applied directly to the hot surface. In acoustic panel applications, it provides excellent sound absorption when the cavity dimensions match the component thickness.
