Applications:

Siniat strongly recommends back-blocking for all ceiling joints.

Only mix enough cement to be used in 3.5 hours, and do not contaminate with previously mixed batches.

Once the material starts to set, it cannot be remixed.

Apply with a notched spreader.

After applying Mastablock to the back-blocks, do not allow it to dry out before placing on the back of the board.

Must be set before commencing any jointing.

Mastablock is a pink plasterbased setting cement designed specifically for back-blocking ceiling joints in accordance with AS 2589.1. Back-blocking reinforces the joint, minimises deformation and possible cracking that may occur due to stresses from building movement. Mastablock has a working time of 3.5 hours and sets in 4 hours, allowing plenty of time to complete back-blocking and maximise use of a single gauge.

Great for skillion roofs as ceiling joints can be back-blocked progressively, working from below the board.
